Use OpenCL: Enable to accelerate the new Blur Gallery filters, Smart Sharpen, Select Focus Area, or Image Size with Preserve Details selected (Note: OpenCL is available only on newer graphics cards that support OpenCL v1.1 or later.)

When you looked at your graphics card, was it called an Nvidia "GeForce"? If so, Nvidia offers a free app that will download all the drivers you need automatically, similar to the way Windows keeps your other computer files up to date.

It is recommended that you use the Windows operating system to download or update video card drivers. This is the safest and most reliable way to download or update drivers. The Windows operating system itself downloads and installs new verified drivers.

GeForce Experience is a software application developed by NVIDIA that allows users to optimize their gaming experience on a PC equipped with a NVIDIA graphics card. To install GeForce Experience, you can download the software from the NVIDIA website ( -us/geforce/geforce-experience/). Once the download is complete, open the installer and follow the prompts to install the software.

I currently have two PCs that are Windows XP Service Pack 2 that need new video cards. I purchased both a GeForce GT 710 and GeForce 8400 GS since they had Windows XP support listed on their boxes. However after trying to install the included drivers(368.81 and 340.52 respectively) they fail because Windows XP Service Pack 3 is the minimum requirement. I went online and searched for the oldest available drivers (320.18 or 320.92) and they too required Service Pack 3.

After I shut down the computer after that failed update, at restart I got a login-infinite loop at the login screen (entered password, no login into Gnome Desktop, asked for password again, entered it again, no login into Gnome Desktop, repeat).I researched online and I found out that the nvidia-340 drivers are not compatible with my current kernel version.

All my graphics programs are destroyed. In the past when my machine was functioning properly, I had installed Qt5 and linked against a framework I use for work. Now that framework doesn't function anymore, I cannot compile programs against the visualization drivers anymore.

6') I have tried to run nvidia-smi -> returns 'nvidia-smi' command nout found, can be installed with: and here appears a list of nvidia drivers it recommends installing via sudo apt install nvidia-XYZ or sudo apt install nvidia-utils-XYZ.

I have tried to run sudo ubuntu-drivers autoinstall -> this returns the same thing as before: The following packages will be removed: nvidia-340Removing nvidia-340 ...dpkg: error processing package nvidia-340 (--remove):installed nvidia-340 package post-removal script subprocess returned error exit status 127dpkg: too many errors, stoppingErrors were encountered while processing:nvidia-340...

Sticking with 5.4 kernel will not be an option forever. I had the same issue with a early 2009 iMac, where the last proprietary nvidia driver available for my C79 [GeForce 9400] card is also nvidia-340.

I did upgrade from 20.04 (kernel 5.4, already with kelebek333's nvidia-340 version) to 21.10 (kernel 5.13) on the old iMac (I had no issue during the upgrade itself). The upgrade process did remove kelebeck333 repo), and enabled the nouveau driver.

Use DeepOps to automate deployment, especially for a cluster of many worker nodes. DeepOps is a modular collectionof ansible scripts which automate the deployment of Kubernetes, Slurm, or a hybrid combination of the two acrossyour nodes. It also installs the necessary GPU drivers, NVIDIA Container Toolkit for Docker (nvidia-docker2),and various other dependencies for GPU-accelerated work. Encapsulating best practices for NVIDIA GPUs, it can becustomized or run as individual components, as needed.

One way to determine the appropriate driver is to input your hardware information into Nvidia's driver search engine. Beware: Nvidia's site may declare shorter support period with the same chip for mobile graphics compared to desktop video cards. This is not true for Linux drivers (more info here). openSUSE provides unified Linux driver for all flavours: GeForce and Quadro, desktop and mobile. The driver decides during startup whether it supports this GPU or not.

During the NVIDIA driver installation on a secureboot system a MOK keypair is being created and the kernel modules been signed with the created private key. The created certificate (public key) remains on the storage below /var/lib/nvidia-pubkeys, but it also needs to be imported to the list of to be enrolled MOK pubkeys.

The original plan for Blender 2.80 was to work on all GPUs that have OpenGL 3.3 drivers and were released in the last 10 years. However, we have found that there are many graphic cards that support OpenGL 3.3 in hardware, but have critical bugs in the OpenGL drivers.

Intel graphics for Haswell and newer are supported and generally working well. See the list of Intel GPUs to check which architecture your processor has. There are a few bugs planned to be fixed still, related to selection and reflections in Eevee on specific graphics cards.

Pro Render only works on Fiji and R9 series GPUs and above. While the installer will tell your graphics card passes the test and finish the installation, nothing will come out when you render using it with a non compatible card.

New Intel drivers only work for fairly recent Intel hardware. While can use newer OpenGL features to improve performance or maybe support additional Eevee features, requiring it would mean dropping support for more Intel graphics cards.

if I change inside new kext applegraphiccontrol kext/contents/plugin this file: AppleGraphicsDevicePolicy.kext with an old and patched 10.12.5 one...I have two monitors working and nvidiaweb drivers loaded fine

Followed the same instructions, the web driver loads the frame buffer and shows as GTX 1080, but no graphics acceleration. Can set 165Hz on the monitor, but no transparency/QE/CI. I believe the shift to Metal for the GUI on 10.13 means we'll need new drivers from nVidia to take advantage. Waiting patiently!

I tried this -nvidia-web-driver-updates-for-macos-high-sierra-update-06052017/page-2?do=findComment&comment=2439371but it did not work. I tried to replace the kexts using these files -nvidia-web-driver-updates-for-macos-high-sierra-update-06052017/?do=findComment&comment=2437874 but when I give boot I get A disconnected cable message on the monitor, but the pc does not restart. I can only enter the system if I use nv_disable = 1

You will need to contact your graphics card manufacturer for the latest custom UEFI / video BIOS for your graphics card. Flashing a graphics card with an incompatible or untested version can permanently damage your graphics card. Most graphics card related fixes are provided through display driver updates. If you are experiencing issues with your graphics card, then before flashing a new video BIOS update, we recommend downloading and installing the latest drivers for your card.
